Belta

History

The Toyota Belta and the Toyota Vitz are confused by many when they take a first glance at them since they are very much the same. Few know that the Belta is the sedan version of the Vitz. These models have similar but different underpinnings, including the dashboard, seats, etc… The only two things they have in common despite being very much alike are the drivetrain and the frame.

The Belta was first offered on sale during 2006 replacing the discontinued Platz. When comparing the Belta alongside with the Platz, there is no resemblance what so ever in design. The later was practically identical to the Vitz while the Belta was given sportier and modern designs.

Being a subcompact sedan, it still manages to offer a high level of comfort, space and utility. It is even more spacious than the 2001-2008 generation of the Corolla!
